Galantis, Inc. Announces Release of GEM/Frame 2.0 with Web Services

COSTA MESA, Calif., August 16, 2006 – Galantis has announced the upcoming release of GEM/Frame 2.0, its flagship application development framework. The release includes numerous architecture enhancements, new user features and known issue fixes.

GEM/Frame, or Galantis Enterprise Management Framework, is a high-level, platform-independent integration framework developed by Galantis as a toolkit for rapid delivery of ECM and business process automation solutions.

In its new major version, GEM/Frame’s rich services layer has been fully exposed via Web Services, making GEM/Frame-based applications solutions accessible from non-Java client environments.

“In the ECM solution space, leveraging and integrating existing components has been considered the best practice for some time,” said Roumen Antonov, Galantis CEO. “The newest GEM/Frame fully captures the essential promise of the service-oriented architecture (SOA) and component-based delivery.”

The latest in GEM/Frame enhancements closely follow the recommendations made recently by the Gartner Group for an enterprise services bus (ESB) approach. ESB is defined as an enterprise integration architecture that allows incremental integration driven by business requirements, not technology limitations.

“The new Web Services layer will allow seamless integration and reuse of GEM/Frame-based solution components from inside an ERP system or a corporate web portal,” Mr. Antonov said. “With this enhancement, GEM/Frame 2.0 has become more than a tool for rapid development of ECM applications. It can now be viewed as a platform for enterprise-wide component-based development and integration using SOA.”

Many new user features and fixes of known issues are also included in the release, which is scheduled for September 11, 2006.
